“An Excellent Experience”
A car club to which I belong recently stayed at the South Thompson Inn. Our party included 30 members and 12 cars. I arranged the meet in conjunction with hotel staff. The hotel was very accommodating in every respect and staff bent over backwards, going above and beyond, to make the meet one of the best we have ever held. Kudos to Mike Smallenberg for helping to arrange the entertainment destinations. Julie in catering was a dream to work with. The rooms were very pleasant and reasonably priced. The menu was good and appropriate to our budget. The Inn even decorated the front entrance with a welcoming sign specific to our club. It also demarked a special parking area for our cars.
Our experience was an excellent one - thank you very much.

The wife and I won a night here from a show in Vancouver. We were stunned. From the moment you see the property until the moment you leave you will be impressed. We were greeted with nothing but smiles and positive energy from each and every staff member we encountered each and everytime we encountered them.The drive out was easy and being out of Kamloops as it is provided for one of the best sleeps I have ever had in a hotel type setting. The room was spotless, bed was comfortable and the water was hot. We now know where our Kamloops place of preference is. Thanks for an incredible Hotel type experience and we cannot wait to see you again.

I travel extensively and have eaten in many good restaurants
over the years. The restaurant was a delightful surprise.
The flatbread appetizer is fantastic- up there with Trattoria Dell’Arte’s
pizza in New York! Your serving sizes are more than generous and the prices
are certainly not a reflection of the caliber of food being served! Their ingredients are 85% local. The server was fun to talk to and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. I will be sure to spread the word about this hidden gem .
We selected Kamloops and the South Thompson Inn for our annual couples Golf Trip. the Inn bent over backwards to arrange the proper T times and prepared a fantastic dinner. The attention to detail was excellent. The unique and relaxed atmosphere was wonderfull, we enjoyed the view and pool. We will definitely be back. the only thing they could not do was help my putting..
Although we had some trouble finding the hotel we had a very pleasant stay there. Because of the beautiful weather we asked for a river vuew room, which was no problem. The room was okay and we loved the balcony. We also ate at the restaurant hotel and made a reservation in advance. We were suprised that we received a menu card which was printed with our namens. It's just a detail but it gives you an extra smile at your face. The food was good and the portions were very royal. We also had breakfast but that wasn't exciting. Servers were very friendly and rooms were clean and wide enough.
Thank you to everyone for inviting us to your first, and hopefully, annual Mother's Day Buffet. You did a marvellous job of presentation, service, value, and of course the food was wonderful. Great variety and very well prepared.

smiles made Win and I feel like we were with our family and this gave us a beautiful start to a very special day for us both.

The short get-away vacations that we spend at the South Thompson Inn are the highlights of our leisure times during the year. It is only a short twenty minute drive from Kamloops, where we live and we are always received by everyone at the Inn as a family member. It is our 'Royal Holiday' and words cannot be found to express our love for the people and surroundings at this unique and wonderful secret resort on the South Thompson River.

Madisen's was delightful, as it was an early celebration of Win's 70th birthday and the meal and service was excellent. Please thank Leah and the new chef for us.
Mike's 'sit down' with us added to our meal in the pub and he was most impressive with his help and personality. David's person note, under the door to our room, warmed our hearts. Your personal touches always do that to us..smiles. Naturally the front desk..sorry I forgot names....girls were all wonderful. They were like daughters to us and gave us a smile whenever we passed by the desk.
Gerda??? Well what can I say? Gerda always is gives us the best of service and has a smile that glows from every corner of the Inn. Every cake has an icing and we believe Gerda is the icing that gives the Inn its flavour.
We shall see you again in the Fall...if not earlier.

“Awesome Experience”
 We held a business meeting at the South Thompson Inn and Conference Centre and could not have asked for better service or location. The staff accommodated every need and request with a smile and went out of their way to make our experience a positive one. Staff enjoyed the activities offered and all of the feed back received was positive. The rooms were clean and well decorated and the food was excellent. It is a perfect location for team building meetings.

I stayed there on business for a conference and it was great. The food was absolutely the best and the staff were awesome. We had a little trouble with wireless connections however nothing that was significant enough to cause any major difficulties.
We really enjoyed the atmosphere and service we received while staying at the Inn for a work conference. The staff were friendly and always ready to provide us with anything we needed. The rooms could use some new decor but overall a lovely place to stay whether for business or pleasure.
I recently had the pleasure of staying for a night at the South Thompson Inn & Conference Centre. While my travels have frequently taken me along the highway not far from this resort, I have never stopped in, until this recent engagement wherein I served as a guest speaker at a conference. The room was very spacious and fresh; the view in the morning (I arrived at night) was magnificent; the meal I had for breakfast was a private affair but the buffet breakfast was excellent value; and the golf course is located along gorgeous views so I would think that would quite the experience. The front desk folks were very helpful as well. Overall, I would go back.
In September, 2011 our group of about 60 government employees held our annual conference at the beautiful South Thomson Inn. The setting is spectacular, the rooms are great, the food was superb, the facility itself is simply charming but above all, the staff stood out and helped make our conference a roaring success! Leading up to the conference I had the privilege of getting to know some of the management staff who worked closely with me to accommodate our group's specific needs and requests. These folks did a superb job! Then, to top it all off, the line staff were equal in their effort, attitude and genuine desire to meet and exceed our expectations. By the end of the three days I (and many of our delegates too) felt as if we had made some new friends who happen to work at the South Thompson Inn. I would highly recommend this facility for your group to hold a conference, planning session, meeting, etc. Two thumbs up to the great people at the South Thompson Inn! Well done!
I recently stayed at the South Thompson Inn while attending a conference. While the rooms were nice and spotlessly clean, the thing that really stood out for me was the excellent customer service. Virtually all staff from the owner on down were proactively helpful. It made the experience most enjoyable. An excellent place for a small conference or business retreat.

I also want you to know how totally impressed I was with your staff ~ you should be very proud of the outstanding customer service they provide. We have held Tolko functions at many locations across Canada, United States and overseas, and I can tell you that I have never come across a more helpful, cheerful and resourceful group of people. The service provided was nothing short of amazing. They went above and beyond, with a great team spirit, to ensure the success of this event. Lastly, the catering team provided a well planned menu with the end result being an excellent meal which received many, many compliments.
You are to be commended for an outstanding venue and more so for the dedicated and committed team you have in place to ensure functions such as this are successful.

EVERYTHING was perfect: the meal was delicious, the servers were so friendly and accommodating and the room was spectacular. I wish you could have seen mom’s face when the owner came down to say hello…she was absolutely delighted!

The food was outstanding, the rooms and grounds were excellent and, again, the service was superb. You should know that the welcome sign you made for us had an immediate impact on the boys when we arrived – I think it made them realize that travelling to Kamloops for rugby was serious business!
If we return next year to play rugby there is only one place for us to go – the South Thompson Inn!

Hello: I recently organized a Reiki Retreat for 32 Reiki practitioners at the beautiful South Thompson Inn and Retreat Centre. The staff went out of their way to make our stay one we will want to have repeated, it was decided at the retreat by all 32 attending to have our retreat every year at this facility. The rooms were exceptionally clean and beautiful, the food was wonderful, conference rooms were perfect for our group. A special mention to some very special people who made this all possible for us were: Mike Smallenberg, Gerda, and Anke. Thank you to all the staff, from the cleaning staff, reception, and dining staff.
We are all looking forward to next year.

When I was out to facilitate a full-day session a little while ago, I arrived to a room set-up as classroom style (which I would never pick!).
The staff came and created a very large U shape, arranged a speaker table, extension cord and
managed all of this before the first people arrived. I asked the Board members to arrive at 8:30 a.m. as
breakfast was to be served. When I arrived, I was told breakfast was ordered for 9:30 a.m. The staff told me they would try to change this, but I told them to leave it, as I know how hard it is to cook for 50 people. As it turned out, most people were late, so the change would have been a disaster.
The day went really well. The bumps were offset by the nice facilities (we even used the hallway and the new bar area for a bit of a breakout session) and the excellent service. Please pass on my thanks to the staff and let them know how their “can do” attitude paid off.

I was there for the Crew/Stewart wedding. The venue for the wedding was beautiful, really enjoyed the food; the staff were wonderful and accommodating.

I just wanted to tell you what a wonderful time we had at the wedding on Saturday, and I wanted to also tell you how much I think the out of town guests enjoyed your INN. The parents of the bride are very good friends of ours and they have a huge extended family who come from all over the country. Red (dad of the bride) was telling us how much all his relatives were enjoying their stay and how perfect the location was for them. They came from Alberta, Ontario, Vancouver Island, and who knows where else, and found themselves at the most beautiful location by the South Thompson River. The weather was superb and they could wander around the property looking at horses and llamas (?) and gorgeous scenery, sit in a hot tub in the evening overlooking the river and look at a bear hanging out of tree right beside them, have coffee on their decks at 7 in the morning and watch fish jumping in the river, walk a couple of minutes to an amazing golf course, and the list goes on and on and on. The wedding ceremony by the river was so beautiful! I think everyone had a marvellous time.
I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to you and all the staff at the Ranch. Matt and I had the most amazing time, and although the weather didn’t quite co-operate, it didn’t seem to matter. Everyone commented on how it was some of the best food they’d had (Matt’s dad is a professional butcher, and he said it was the best steak he’d ever eaten- VERY high praise indeed!), and the Ranch itself was spectacular. So, thanks for helping make our day so great!!

We have been coming to the South Thompson Inn for the past 9 years as a family and have always been treated like royalty. This year was a very special occasion as my son Jesse and his wife Amber had decided last year to get married in the South Thompson Inn, (just shows how much we love it there). They had started to make all the arrangements last year when we were there in August and carried on when we returned home, all long distance.
The help they received by your staff was exceptional during this process. Making arrangements and preparing for the day does not come without its own set of worries and being out of town made it that much more stressful.
As all of the wedding party and guests were from out of town 98% stayed at the inn and I heard nothing but great comments about the staff from the kitchen and administrative to the house keeping team as well as the facility itself. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone at the Inn for an event well done. This was a special day for us and will always be an unforgettable event which everyone made possible. This was the best wedding that I have ever been to.
We will be returning again next year for more holidays and look forward to it, again please pass on to everyone our thanks and best wishes and we will see you again next year.

The wedding was so absolutely amazing! All of our guests were commenting about how incredible the location was, and how wonderful the food tasted! All the servers, kitchen staff, and the bartenders really contributed in a big way to making our special day such a resounding success! And we are so very happy that we decided to rent out the Manor House for the weekend! It took a lot of stress out of the planning, and allowed guests to relax and enjoy the time between the ceremony and the reception. I will be recommending the South Thompson to anybody that asks!!

We would like to thank you all for making our son and daughter-in-law's wedding an amazing family milestone event. For two wonderful days we gathered at the inn with family and friends. The Friday night barbeque provided us a casual venue to reconnect and visit. Saturday's wedding in front of the "three trees" was beautiful and memorable. The reception was a great success with everyone from the children to the grandparents having a great time.
The food was incredible, thank you so much to the kitchen and serving staff. We had many positive comments about the food from those attending. The DJ was great, his mix of music kept things lively all night. We can't say enough good things about all of the staff who helped accommodate our every request. Every one of them was pleasant, friendly and committed to making things run smoothly. We highly recommend the Inn as a memorable venue for any special event.
